87th Annual Southern Section meeting

March 13-15th, 2026

The meeting will begin on 3/13 at 5 pm and end 3/15 at noon.

 

2026 Kriton Hatzios Symposium

This Year’s Symposium Theme will be Seeing Plants Across Multiple Dimensions and will feature talks by experts in the use of modeling, imaging and visualization techniques to study plants from the molecular to organismal level.

Special Treat!

Weather permitting, Garrie Landry, the resident botanist at Avery Island, has agreed to provide a guided tour of Jungle Gardens, free of charge. The tour will begin after the meeting ends, Sunday 3/15 approximately 3 pm, requires carpooling for all interested parties, and will last about two hours. The tour and guide are botanical jewels that are not to be missed.
